1M,1F. One-Act (10 min). Santa's wife experiences her magical "changes" on the most important day of Santa's year!
"A thoroughly delightful and hilarious story about Mrs. Claus and Santa discussing her change of life. This is a short play that could be done by any holiday-themed festival with a sophisticated audience. Not for children, but very funny." (Martha Patterson, Playwright, 2015)
"With patrons eyes still aglow with laughter, Tobin and Wood donned Mr. and Mrs. Claus outfits for MRS. CLAUS GETS MENOPAUSE . Santa is preparing to make his Christmas Eve run when Greta Claus reveals that she has been to see Hermey the dentist’s brother Hymie, who’s training to be a gynecologist. Hysterical chaos erupts as Mrs. Claus succumbs to a menopausal meltdown about rumors of Santa and one of his elves, being left alone Christmas Eve and the fact that she will never have children. The audience doubled over with laughter as Wood exclaimed to Tobin’s dumbfounded Santa, “Is it my fault we haven’t done the Christmas Kringle in almost 20 years?” (April Boyle, Portland Press Herald , 2016)
"I love MRS. CLAUS GETS MENOPAUSE because it's clear Daniel Guyton knows and appreciates the lore of the characters. But he uses the established history of the characters as a springboard to several contemporary comic moments, some of which are just bawdy enough to make an elf blush." (Steven G Martin, New Play Exchange, 2020)
"Your plays were the best at Christmas Shorts. Enjoyed them with an oversold-out house today!" (G Mark Cole, Onstage Atlanta, 2011)
"Daniel, that play was so much fun. The performers were great, and you wrote a wonderful script." (Noah Fredericks, KYRS Radio, 2014)
